DESCRIPTION

Join us for a special event with Andrew Marsden, Sheriff of The City of London in 2022-23, where we'll dive into the fascinating history and modern role of the City of London.

You'll learn about The City's evolution into one of the world's top financial hubs, its unique governance, and the important work of its ancient Livery Companies, each with its unique contributions to trade, education, charity, and community. Andrew will also share his unique experiences from his year as Sheriff, offering rare glimpses into the inner workings of The City.

Andrew Marsden MStJ, is a Past Master of The Marketors Livery Company, is Junior Warden of The World Traders as well as being a member of six other Livery companies. He is former member of the LiveryCommittee, chaired both the 15 strong Financial Services Group, and The Debating Group which meets in the House of Commons. He has served on the Governing Body of the United Wards Club and sits on the councils of both TheCity Livery Club and Royal Society of St George, of which he is Vice Chairman. In 2022/3 he served as Sheriff of TheCity of London.
