This year, Finland made a historic debut at the Lord Mayor's Show in London, marking the first appearance of a Finnish Float in this iconic procession. Organised by the British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland (B3CF) and supported by our members, the Finland Float brought a touch of Nordic magic to one of the UK's most celebrated traditions.

On the 15th of August, members and guests of the British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland gathered in the beautiful garden of the British Ambassador’s residence for an afternoon of networking and celebration.

The seminar, held in the delightful setting of the British Ambassador's residence in Helsinki, provided an exceptional opportunity for our members and professionals in the energy sector to engage in valuable discussions.

Our recent maritime event, the Welcome (Finnish) Summer Reception, dedicated to our distinguished members, offered an unforgettable experience on the water. Despite changing weather conditions, it turned out to be a remarkable day that showcased the resilience and camaraderie of our community.

On 27th May 2024, the British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland hosted the highly anticipated 7th Commonwealth Golf Day at Tapiola Golf. The event was graced with excellent weather, a clear blue sky, and plenty of sunshine, setting the perfect scene for a day of golf, networking, and enjoyment.

The British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland recently hosted an exceptional breakfast event featuring Jesse Aarnio, CEO and CIO of Conduit Asset Management, as part of our ongoing B3CF Experts programme. This event occurred at the restaurant Nokka in Helsinki, known for its impeccable service and luxurious ambience.

On an unexpectedly snowy morning on April 23, 2024, members of our community displayed remarkable commitment by trekking through 10 cm of fresh snow to gather at the Tapiola Golf CLUB HOUSE in Espoo for our scheduled Members Breakfast focused on After-Sales Marketing. The unusual weather for late April could have deterred the most dedicated, yet our members proved their resilience and keen interest in continuous learning.

On 11th April 2024, the B3CF, a long-standing partner and supporter of The Lord Mayor's Big Curry Lunch, organised the third international satellite event in Finland, aimed at raising funds and supporting His Majesty's veterans, a growing number of whom permanently reside in Finland.

Marking the first anniversary of Finland's accession to NATO, the British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland hosted the "Finland and NATO: A Forward-Looking Discussion" at Svenska Klubben. The event attracted a diverse group of attendees, keen on understanding the nuances of Finland's partnership with NATO.

On 21 March 2024, in collaboration with Nordea Bank, the British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland ry hosted a compelling Economic Update Breakfast at the prestigious Helsingin Pörssiklubi (Helsinki Bourse Club). This gathering attracted a vibrant mix of business leaders, investors, and stakeholders, all eager to delve into the latest developments in the global and Finnish economic arenas.

On a day marked by intellectual exchange and professional camaraderie, the British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland held an engaging session that met and exceeded expectations.

On 12th and 13th October 2023, Alderman of The City of London Alastair King DL, accompanied by his consort Florence Walker, visited Finland, embarking on a series of significant events and discussions that promise to forge stronger ties between Finnish and British businesses.

Despite the uncooperative weather forcing us indoors, the Annual Garden Party 2023, hosted by the British and Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland, was nothing short of a resounding success.

On 29th May 2023, golf enthusiasts and members of the British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland gathered at the Tapiola Golf for the highly anticipated 6th Commonwealth Golf Day. The sun was shining, and the air was filled with a palpable sense of excitement as participants prepared for a day filled with friendly competition, networking, and memorable experiences.

We are thrilled to share the highlights of an unforgettable evening that took place at Goodwin Steak House to commemorate their remarkable milestone of 10 years in the restaurant industry. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation as B3CF members and friends gathered at Goodwin Steak House on 20th April. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this would be an extraordinary celebration. The venue was elegantly adorned, setting the stage for an evening of culinary delights and networking opportunities.

On 28th March 2023, the Swedish Club in Helsinki hosted the Second International Lord Mayor's Big Curry Lunch. This event brought together a warm and convivial gathering of Commonwealth Veterans in Finland, sponsors, and participants. Organised by The British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland, the event for the second year in a row successfully celebrated camaraderie and shared experiences in a friendly atmosphere, with excellent food and drinks on offer.

The British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland marked #InternationalWomensDay on March 8, 2023, with a fantastic Members' breakfast event hosted by Rödl & Partner Attorneys Finland. Nora Haapala shared her valuable insights on Best #Negotiation Strategies and Tactics, a crucial skill that benefits businesses and everyday life.

On 28th February, The British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland held an informative business breakfast on "Company culture: How to create, shape and change a company culture supporting your strategy."

On 8th February, the British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland organised the UK Market Entry breakfast event, attended by a diverse group of Marketing, Communications and Executive Leaders from our membership, all eager to learn efficient practices for entering the UK market.

The British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland, in cooperation with Routa Digital, recently organised a successful breakfast event at the Hotel Mestari in Helsinki as part of the B3CF Experts programme.

The Lord Mayor's Show is one of the oldest traditions in London, dating back to 1215 when King John granted a charter allowing for a procession through the streets. The Show, held yearly on the second Saturday in November, is organised by The City of London Corporation, with support from many other organisations and businesses across the City and beyond.

On 11th October, B3CF "Expert" members and invited guests joined us for a UK Government and Policy update hosted by our patron member, Eversheds Sutherland Finland. The event was a part of the re-launched Experts programme, which was temporarily put on hold due to the pandemic.

In cooperation with B3CF member Hofstede Insights and Helsinki Partners, we welcomed to the cocktail party 60+ people from around the world involved in international trade and cross-cultural consulting.

A big thank you to everyone who attended the 5th Commonwealth Golf Day on the 2nd of June, 2022. Once again taking place at the brilliant Tapiola Golf, the wet weather and lower-than-usual turnout didn’t faze our participants, who were able to appreciate a more intimate event in addition to the usual golf, sauna, and delicious food provided.

Tuesday, 26^th of April, 2022 saw day two of our British Week kick-off with a busy schedule of business meetings and site visits hosted by the local business community in Tampere.

Our British Week reached its pinnacle on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, when the Platinum Jubilee 2022 Banquet saw a melting pot of chamber members, British business delegates, celebrities, and politicians all congregate in the presence of HRH Prince Michael of Kent to celebrate the Queen’s record-breaking 70-years on the throne.

The doors opening at the extravagant Tuulensuun Palatsi at 18:45 on Monday 25th April 2022, marked not only the start of our British Week Dinnerin Tampere, but the beginning of our exciting British Week as a whole.

Created in 2007 and first taking place in 2008, The Lord Mayor's Big Curry Lunch is the City of London's hottest annual event that raise money to help those who have served in Her Majesty's Armed Forces, worldwide from WWII to the present.

On Tuesday 21st September, The B3CF hosted our Annual "Garden" Party at the British Ambassador’s Residence in Helsinki. This year, our members and partners gathered indoors for this rescheduled occasion, owing to the horrendous storm on the original date in August!

On 9 September 2021, the British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland (B3CF), in cooperation with Pohjois-Hämeen Ampujat (PHA) shooting club invited all our members to an exhilarating clay target shooting competition. Despite the rainy weather, the third annual B3CF Shooting Competition was a wonderful and invigorating day of sport, thoroughly enjoyed by all our members and guests.

On 22nd June, the B3CF Chairman, Garry Parker, and Executive Director, Vladislav Dobrokhotov, were giving a ride to our members in luxurious Bentley cars on beautiful streets of Helsinki. This was Feel The Success, the last event before the summer break, that we have organised in cooperation with our Patron member, Bentley Suomi. The event provided selected businesses with an opportunity to pitch to investors and business advisors while enjoying a ride in the back seat of a Bentley.

On Wednesday 16 June 2021, the B3CF and The Royal Commonwealth Society Nordic-Baltic Hub were honoured to organise the Fourth Commonwealth Golf Day, Awards and Dinner.  This year, we were sponsored by Edrington, Rights & Brands, Westerback, Palkintotehdas, Business Shooting Club Kokkovuori, Taitokaari, and Mr Moore’s Motorcycles.

On Wednesday 14 April 2021, the British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland (B3CF) hosted a virtual event to introduce the upcoming Commonwealth Business Forum 2021, which will be held in Kigali, Rwanda on 22-24 June.

On 25 February 2021, B3CF held a Virtual Trade Mission to Scotland, organised with the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce.

On Friday, 4 December 2020, B3CF celebrated the holiday season with a warm and festive Christmas Lunch event with our friends and members at the beautiful Svenska Klubben. Guests enjoyed delicious food, warming drinks, and good company during the festive afternoon. We also had a surprise whisky tasting for the guests with the Glenrothes Speyside single malt  whisky, courtesy of a B3CF Patron member, Edrington Finland.

In October 2020, the British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland (B3CF) team, in cooperation with EVLI Bank Plc, travelled to Tampere, Kuopio and Jyväskylä to give seminars on the effects of Brexit on Finnish businesses.

On 6th February 2020, the British and Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland in co-operation with its Patron member, Eco Key LTD, hosted a members breakfast event with the theme  “Sustainability as a competitive advantage”.

The B3CF Brexit and GDPR Breakfast was held on 3rd October 2019, casting a spotlight on the effects of Brexit, potentially not too far around the corner, on organisations with GDPR compliance obligations.

Exhilarating open-air grand touring for patrons of the British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland took place in the surroundings of the oldest and best known park inSouth Helsinki, Kaivopuisto.

The B3CF and The Royal Commonwealth Society Nordic-Baltic Hub were honoured to organise the 3rdCommonwealth Golf Day, Awards and Dinner.

The Brexit-focused meeting held at the beautiful setting of Pilarisali, at Mandatum Life in Helsinki, made for an especially pertinent and beneficial Experts Breakfast, with guest of honour HMA Tom Dodd, Ambassador of the UK to Finland.

Westerback exclusively opened its Keskuskatu doors for a charming and thoroughly enjoyable evening on Thursday 11th April 2019. Westerback in partnership with Edrington, Dayton and Hard Rock Cafe threw an elegant event, as guests enjoyed a range of cocktails and delicious canapés.

On 11th April 2019 the B3CF International Advisory Board meeting was hosted by HE Carmen Smidt, Ambassador of South Africa, at the Official Residence in Finland.

The Skilled Internationals Meet-Up March focused on how to make the most of networking opportunities, a key skill for the modern day job search. The event, held at Hard Rock Cafe Helsinki, was attended by a varied group from different professional fields, all looking to find work in Finland.

B3CF Experts group is formed of reliable service providers in different fields, such as Accounting, Audit, Legal, HR, Banking, Insurance, Marketing, Events management, Retail, Hospitality, Transportation, Logistics and so on.

In charming B3CF-style, members, guests and speakers joined together to celebrate International Women’s Day on 8th March 2019, at an event kindly sponsored by HCP, Helsinki Capital Partners.

The B3CF Skilled Internationals Programme is a modern innovative platform which provides companies with an untapped resources of prepared international qualified talent available in Finland.

For the third time, the birthday supper and programme in honour of the Scottish national poet Robert Burns was held at Haikko Manor, near Porvoo, on 25th January 2019.

The British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland in cooperation with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Stockholm organised an “Inside Rolls-Royce” event, which took place in Helsinki on 21st to 22nd September 2018

The second Commonwealth Golf Day took place on Friday 7th September 2018 at Tapiola Golf, an 18 holes inland links course located only 15 minutes from Helsinki City centre.

A very intensive and productive week in London for the B3CF Executive Team. We participated in many events during the recent Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) and Commonwealth Business Forum 2018.

On Tuesday, 6th February 2018, the B3CF Members and invited guests enjoyed a fireside chat on Brexit, Education and Culture at the British Ambassador's Residence in Helsinki. The event, featuring Sir David Green and the British Ambassador Mr Tom Dodd, was organised by British Embassy Helsinki in collaboration with Finnish Institute in London and British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland.

At the invitation of the British & Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in Finland, HRH Prince Michael of Kent visited Finland from 25 to 28.09.2017 along with the Genesis Initiative business delegation from the UK, COBCOE and The Royal Commonwealth Society.

On 14th September 2017, members of the B3CF enjoyed a day full of off-road experience and fun.

Our traditional Garden Party took place on the last day of Summer 2017 at Villa Haikko.

The drinking of tea not only became a social event for the B3CF members, it is also an opportunity to meet the  Commonwealth Resident Ambassadors to Finland to discuss various business opportunities in countries they represent. In May 2017, our traditional Ambassadors' Afternoon Tea took a place at the British Ambassador's Residence in Helsinki.

In April 2017, during the India-Finland Joint Commission meetings in Helsinki, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, the Embassy of Finland in India, the Embassy of India in Finland, Finpro and the B3CF organised a series of India-themed events.

The second week of March 2017 was full of activities for the B3CF Executive Team, travelled to celebrate Commonwealth Day and attend various events during Commonwealth week in London, UK.

On 28th February 2017 new and long-standing B3CF members met at our traditional monthly get-together at the Hard Rock Cafe in Helsinki. During our networking event B3CF Members presented their companies to our network.
