Herkko Plit's presentation explored the complexities of the green transition, focusing on how the shift to renewable energy impacts the market. He pointed out that while the move towards renewable sources is essential, it brings about volatility in the energy market, making the development of reliable energy storage solutions crucial for maintaining stable prices. Herkko also highlighted that although electrification is a key strategy for reducing carbon emissions, it cannot be the sole solution. Hydrogen and synthetic fuels are set to play an increasingly important role in the future energy market, particularly in sectors where electrification is not sufficient.
