BREXIT and Public Affairs

Clearly, the next two to five years will see crucial readjustments in not only Britain’s relationship with all EU member states, but also with global markets and trade agreements.

The business impact needs to be properly assessed and communicated to all enterprises in Finland, the UK and Commonwealth, to ensure a smooth transition and continued business growth. Therefore, we will assemble both member enterprises and experts from all sides to give the best available advice and services during the Brexit process, in particular using our COBCOE network at EU level and it’s Public Affairs Commission.

The core principles of the B3CF BREXIT and Public Affairs Working Group:

  • The BREXIT and Public Affairs Group transmits the Voice, Information and Profit advantage (VIP) principle for the benefit of our members.
  • The Group will put together the views of our members and communicate them to COBCOE, delivering the message to the UK Government and EU Institutions.
  • The Group will be inputing on behalf of our members to The Genesis Initiative, which advises Members of Parliament and the UK Government, with the focus on SMEs.
  • The aim of the Group and the Chamber is to maximise the potential of Commonwealth Trade and Investment for Finnish SMEs.
  • The Group will regularly organise events to advise and update Chamber members on all stages of the BREXIT process.
