COBCOE is holding the first Executive Briefing for Corporate Partners on 16 may at the ACCA headquarters in London. We are delighted that the Rt Hon Nicky Morgan MP, Chair of the Treasury Select Committee, will be joining us to discuss her work with the committee, and also give her views on Brexit.

Executive Briefings are a new initiative for partners and stakeholders of COBCOE, and for those interested in knowing more about COBCOE Corporate Partnerships. These events will provide an opportunity for senior business leaders to discuss a topic of particular interest in the context of the current business and economic landscape.

Executive Breifings enable COBCOE stakeholders to gain a first-hand understanding of major topics impacting businesses, now and in the future, while also providing the opportunity to network with other COBCOE Corporate Partners and representatives of COBCOE member chambers of commerce. The format is a moderated 'fireside chat' with the speaker, and guests are invited to engage with their own questions and reflections.

About Nicky Morgan

Nicky Morgan is the Member of Parliament for Loughborough, first elected in 2010 and re-elected in 2015 and 2017.  She is a former M&A lawyer and has worked in three major City of London firms. In Government she has served as Secretary of State for Education, Minister for Women & Equalities, Financial Secretary to the Treasury, Economic Secretary to the Treasury and as a Government Whip. In July 2017 she was elected by MPs on all sides of the House of Commons as Chair of the Treasury Select Committee.  She is the author of ‘Taught not Caught: Educating for Character in the 21st Century.’
